51蹤獲 Honored for Transfer Support and Success

The has named 51蹤獲 a state leader in awarding associate degrees for transfer and supporting Latino students in transfer degree programs.
The nonprofit organizations awards honored 40
community colleges and universities for their work to increase transfer pathways
and student success throughout the state. The organization held a virtual ceremony
in late October.
Transfer and career education programs are a priority for us at 51蹤獲, so we are always developing ways to accommodate our growing student population in both of these areas, said 51蹤獲 Superintendent/President Henry D. Shannon. We are proud and thankful to the Campaign for College Opportunity for this recognition.
The organization recognized Chaffey for having 66 percent of the total associate degrees awarded being associate degrees for transfer in the 2023-2024 academic year. Under the category of Pathway Champion of Transfer Equity Chaffey received an award for having 69 percent of Latino associate degree earners receiving associate degrees for transfer. The award also recognized Chaffeys work for ensuring that Latino students earn transfer degrees at rates comparable to their peers.
The Campaign considers it a priority to provide students with seamless pathways to success not only for the benefit of the student, but the state overall.
California can only thrive when students have a clear and equitable path through higher education, officials wrote on the organization website.
