New and Returning Students

Before making a counseling appointment, make sure you have the following steps completed:

  • Have applied to the college and have a Student ID number
  • If you have external transcripts from another college, make sure they are on file with Admissions and Records before making a counseling appointment
  • If you have AP scores, make sure they are on file prior to your counseling appointment
  • Make sure you have no holds or restrictions on your account; holds or restrictions can be viewed on your Chaffey Portal account
  • Make sure you have applied for Financial Aid prior to your appointment with a Counselor
  • Practice Logging into your Chaffey Portal prior to your Counseling Appointment

 

Scheduling a Counseling Appointment

To schedule an appointment with a Counselor please utilize our Academic and Career Counseling Scheduler. You will need your portal credentials to schedule an appointment.

When making an appointment be sure to select the correct meeting location desired. For In-person locations there are three locations available: Rancho, Chino, and Fontana campus.

Walk-Ins Services

Students can see a counselor on a virtual walk-in basis for same day support during student services hours. Walk-ins are limited to 15 minutes and based on counselor availability.

The following services are available through walk-ins.

  • Course suggestions
  • Unit overload request
  • Prerequisite clearance assistance
  • Assistance with students forms

 

Student Education Plans cannot be done via walk-ins. Please make an appointment.
